Born in 1958 in Brooklyn, New York, Joe Petruccio is best known for his high-end portraits of rock stars and sport heroes.
In 1974, he meets for the first time the great LeRoy Neiman, becoming his apprentice and starting a life-long friendship.
In 1980, Petruccio graduates from the renowned School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, New York.
In 1983, the NY Mets choose Joe Petruccio’s “racing stripe” design for their new official uniforms.
Joe Petruccio is the official artist for Elvis Presley Enterprises, Graceland, and Muhammad Ali Enterprises. His Star Wars art has been licensed by Lucas Film Ltd. In 2006, he was chosen by MGM Studios and Sylvester Stallone to create artwork to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Rocky. He is also the official artist for Hard Rock Cafe.
He continues to be commissioned by the “Greatest of our Time” such as Floyd Mayweather Jr., Tom Brady, Tiger Woods or Michael Jordan to name a few.
His work is hanging in the private collections of more than 75 other celebrities.
